Draft — legal review required
This text was written by describing what the Nikhaar software actually collects, stores, shares and deletes. That makes it a faithful technical account, not a lawyer's document. It must be reviewed against Pakistani data-protection and consumer law, and against the App Store and Google Play policy requirements, before Nikhaar is offered to the public or submitted to either store.
Nikhaar
Terms of service
The agreement between you and Nikhaar: what Nikhaar does and does not do, how the money works, what is expected of you, and when an account can be closed.
Last updated 24 August 2026
01This agreement
These terms govern your use of Nikhaar — the website, the customer app and the Nikhaar Business app. By creating an account or making a booking, you accept them.
Our privacy policy explains what we do with your information and forms part of this agreement.
02What Nikhaar is, and is not
Nikhaar is a marketplace. It introduces customers to barbershops and handles the booking. Nikhaar does not cut hair.
The appointment is an agreement between you and the barbershop. The shop is responsible for the service it provides, its standards, its hygiene, its staff and its prices. Nikhaar is responsible for the booking working, and for handling the platform maintenance charge correctly.
Shops are reviewed before they appear on Nikhaar, but listing a shop is not a warranty of the quality of its work.
03Your account
You need an account to book. Give accurate details — a barbershop uses your name and number to hold a chair and to reach you if something changes.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself, and if you think someone else has it, change it and sign out everywhere — both end every existing session at once.
One account per person. Do not create accounts to evade a suspension or to leave more reviews.
04Bookings and money
Nikhaar splits the money deliberately, and it is worth being plain about it.
You pay Nikhaar a platform maintenance charge of Rs 20 when you reserve. That is what holds the chair, and it is the only money Nikhaar takes from you.
You pay the barbershop for the service, in the shop, the way you always have. Nikhaar does not collect the service price and does not hold your money for the shop.
Nikhaar charges the barbershop Rs 30 when an appointment is completed — and only then. A booking that is cancelled, expired or missed earns Nikhaar nothing from the shop.
Prices shown are set by the barbershop. If a shop charges you something different from what was displayed, tell us.
05Cancelling, missing and refunds
You can cancel an appointment from your bookings. Cancel in good time so the shop can sell the chair to someone else.
If you do not turn up, that is recorded against your account. Repeated no-shows may lead to a suspension — an empty chair is a real loss to a small business.
If a barbershop cancels on you, or your payment goes through for an appointment that was already released, the platform maintenance charge is refunded to the wallet you paid from. Refunds through JazzCash and Easypaisa are processed by hand at their end, so allow a few working days. We do not tell you a refund has been sent before it has been.
06Reviews
Only a customer who actually completed an appointment can review it, and only once. That is what makes the ratings worth reading.
Reviews are published with your first name. Write about the service you received. Do not post anything false, abusive, discriminatory, or about someone other than the shop and its work, and do not accept payment to leave a review. We may remove a review that breaks these rules, and a shop may reply to it publicly.
07Acceptable use
Do not:
- Book appointments you have no intention of attending.
- Use another person’s identity, phone number or payment method.
- Try to manipulate ratings, availability, promotional codes or fees — including by creating accounts to do it.
- Scrape the marketplace, or attempt to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
- Use Nikhaar for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone on it.
08If you list a barbershop
You confirm you are entitled to operate the business you list and to offer the services you advertise, and that the details, prices, opening hours and photographs you publish are accurate and yours to use.
You are responsible for honouring bookings you accept, for the conduct of your staff, and for handling customers’ information properly — including the private notes you keep about them.
Nikhaar’s fee is charged on completed appointments. Marking an appointment completed when it did not happen, or asking a customer to book off-platform to avoid the fee, may end your listing.
09Availability and limits
We work to keep Nikhaar running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Maintenance, outages at a payment or messaging provider, and faults happen.
Nikhaar is not liable for the quality of a haircut, for a shop that closes unexpectedly, or for a dispute between you and a barbershop — though we would like to hear about it, because it tells us who should be on the marketplace. Where Nikhaar is liable, that liability is limited to the platform maintenance charges you paid us in the previous twelve months.
Nothing here removes a right you have under Pakistani consumer law.
10Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. What is removed and what is kept is set out in the privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that repeatedly misses appointments, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently. Where we can, we will tell you why.
11Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app and here before it takes effect. Continuing to use Nikhaar after that means you accept the updated terms.
